BLS Cold Emergencies

This course provides the fundamental knowledge necessary to identify, assess, and manage cold-related environmental emergencies. The following topics will be covered:

• Identification, assessment, and management of cold-related illnesses and injuries.
• Basic definitions and pathophysiology principles.
• Heat loss and the human body.
• Patient assessment.
