Course Overview

The content and concepts covered in this course are designed for flight and critical care providers and include in-depth reviews of a variety of topics relative to the Critical Care practitioner.

Course Acceptance

This course is approved by the International Board of Specialty Certifications (IBSC®) and the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).
The course meets the recertification requirements for currently certified FP-C® and/or CCP-C®.  UMBC accepts all 48 hours of CE toward recertification requirements of CCEMTP®. 

The Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (BCEN) does not specifically approve or endorse any particular courses.  However, we have confirmed with BCEN that they will accept all 48 hours of this course toward your CFRN®, CEN®, and CTRN® recertifications.

Preparation

Providers wishing to obtain their FP-C®, CCP-C®, CTRN®, or CFRN® may use this course to review concepts prior to taking the FP-C®, CCP-C®, CTRN®, or CFRN®examinations. 
The content and concepts covered in this course are designed for the advanced EMS provider and include in-depth reviews of a variety of topics relative to the Critical Care practitioner. Upon completion of this course learners will be better prepared
to take the FP-C®, CCP-C®, CTRN®, or CFRN® examinations if they so choose.

Content Outline

The Flight & Critical Care Review course will provide 48 hours of critical care specific continuing education (CE) hours for critical care personnel to use toward recertification. The course outline, topics, and objectives of this course are combined
from those identified by the Board for Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification (BCCTPC) in both the FP-C and CCP-C “Candidate Handbook[s]” under the “Detailed Content Outline,” the International Association of Flight and Critical Care Paramedic
(IAFCCP) “Preparatory Outline for FP-C and CCP-C Exams,” and the University of Baltimore Maryland County (UMBC) “CCEMTP Course Outline.”
