Course Overview

“The Fall 2025 LifeStar EMT Academy Prep Course”

This course is designed to prepare you for the EMT Academy course.
In this course you will…
  • review the syllabus for your EMT Academy.
  • review and prepare for the EMT Academy’s dress code.
  • complete the required self-enrollment in North Carolina Office of EMS (NCOEMS) Continuum database.
  • upload required documentation (Driver’s License, HS Diploma or equivalent).
  • order your book and testing components required for the course.
  • complete the required “Traffic Incident Management” course .
The EMT Academy Course begins May 1, 2025. You will have access to the course starting after midnight on that day.

The academy course requires attendance on Wednesday & Thursday one week and Friday – Sunday the following week. This schedule lines up with anyone working 12hrs on the “3-2 split” shifts.
