Course Description
This course is designed to provide the fundamental concepts needed by the provider in the Critical Care transport environment to include advanced 12 lead ECG interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, basic ventilator management, and acid-base balance concepts; as well as principles of obstetrical, neonatal, pediatric, neurological and trauma-related emergencies. Additionally, air and ground transport physiology will be reviewed in detail.

Providers wishing to obtain their CTRN® or CFRN® may use this course to review concepts prior to taking the CTRN®, or CFRN® examinations.
The content and concepts covered in this course are designed for the advanced nursing provider and include in-depth reviews of a variety of topics relative to the Critical Care practitioner. Upon completion of this course, learners will be better prepared
to take the CTRN® or CFRN® examinations if they so choose.
Content Outline
The Critical Care Transport Nursing Prep Review course will provide 44 hours of critical care specific continuing education (CE) contact hours for critical care personnel to use toward preparation for critical care nursing exams or be applied toward hours needed for recredentialing.
